It was narrated that Abdullah said:
“The Messenger of Allah cursed the woman who does tattoos and the one who has them done, and those who pluck their eyebrows and file their teeth for the purpose of beautification, and those who change the creation of Allah.”
[Sunan Ibn Majah 1989]
Hadith points out that any Muslim is not allowed to change or alter the creation of Allah from what Allah has created in its original form.
Allah’s warning and curse in this Hadith also apply to the belly button and other bodily piercings except the ears and nose piercing as those are considered adornments.
Other than the ears and nose, piercing other body parts is considered mutilation of the human body, which is prohibited in Islam.
This type of mutilation will inflict significant harm to the body. It is very likely that it is a means of infection that will cause irreversible injury to the body.
Belly piercing is also an imitation of the non-Muslims which is haram and made forbidden by the Prophet (peace be upon him).
Ibn ’Umar (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“He who imitates any people (in their actions) is considered to be one of them.”
[Book 16, Hadith 35]
There is a fatwa regarding belly piercing.
The Islamic Shariah permits the woman to pierce her ears and wear earrings as ears are considered a place of ornamentation. So putting earrings in them adds to the beauty of the woman.

But piercing the belly to wear rings or the like is not permissible as it is but a kind of transgression on the human body without any good reason. Normally the belly is covered all the time except when one is taking a bath or the like.
Moulana Qamruz Zaman from the UK also has the same view that belly piercings are haram in Islam.
Therefore, to pierce the lip, belly button, nipples etc, is Haraam even for the pleasure of the husband or ordered by him.
